This 1830’s post & beam farmhouse has two and a half acres of land and is listed as part of the National Historic Village of Newfane, Vermont. Winter Hill Farm has had an organic garden here for over twenty-five years, and all guests are treated to fruits and vegetables that the groundhog has not eaten! Wake up to a cup of coffee or tea, fresh picked berries in the summer, and warm muffins coming out of the oven. Sit on the bindery's deck and watch the sun come up over the back field.

The Newfane Village Historic District was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983, and it includes over 60 buildings, including Winter Hill Farm/Still Water Bindery. Walk to several nearby restaurants: the Artisan Restaurant at The Four Columns Inn, The Newfane Store or The Fat Crow. Stroll through the historic village, a five-minute walk along the old West River Railroad bed from the back of the property, to visit the West River Railroad Museum & the Windham County Historical Society. Downtown Newfane includes the Fayetteville Corner antiques & décor store, Newfane Village Yoga, People's United Bank, The Moore Free Library and Gallery, The Newfane Union Hall, the Windham County Courthouse, and The Newfane Congregational Church, the last three which provide a picture perfect backdrop to the Newfane Village Common.

The farmhouse has two bedrooms for AirBnB, and a private full bath. There are two Siamese cats, named Belle Lune and Indigo Twilight, in residence. There are many walks around the village, if you are so inclined. Swim, kayak or canoe in the West or Connecticut Rivers, hike up to Putney Mountain for a 360 degree view of the surrounding mountains, or hike along the Long Trail & Appalachian Trail through the Green Mountains. Visit the various galleries, musical and art venues, and shops that the West River valley has to offer.

Come and stay as an AirBnB patron, or an Artist in Residence.
